CALM times in bako

We made a short visit down to Bakersfield to see family and friends. Of course we had to set up a little jam session and Uncle Adam even let Elias hit the cymbal with the drum stick!

Aaron was able to play a little golf at one of his favorite spots. And while he played golf, we went to CALM...California Living Museum right down the road. It was nice to be outside in the 85+ degree weather and see some amazing animals up close. I think Elias had fun. Check out some pictures below.

Tortoise!

Profile view of the Great Horned Owl. The ranger told us that its eyes make up 5% of the owl's total body weight!

I personally think that turkeys look much better on the dining table.

Petting Zoo fun

We left town about 5pm and made it home around 10pm- in time to get a decent amount of sleep so we could get up and go to work...that's just how we roll.

Here we have our new friend Rocky the Raccoon (a souvenir from CALM) and a quick glimpse at Elias taking a few steps. He is getting to a more controlled gait each day and determines whether or not he wants to walk or crawl.

It was a nice drive home on I-5.
