Rockin' the boat

It was a great weekend spent with our dear friend from Washington, David Geerdes. You know when you talk to friends and say, "Oh yeah, come visit," not expecting it to happen? Well, David did come...and we were so thankful :) I have had these tickets to take Aaron on the RocketBoat and was waiting for a sunny day. It worked out perfectly that David visited on a beautiful weekend and the three of us headed into San Francisco for a little adventure on Saturday. After eating the best blueberries- and I mean this literally... we took our RocketBoat ride on the San Francisco Bay.

The boat sat about 100 people and went pretty fast. It didn't hurt that it was equipped with two 1600 horsepower engines :) We sped out of Pier 39 past the sea lions and headed underneath the Bay Bridge. After doing some 360s we went near AT&T Stadium where we were just one week earlier watching the Giants game. It was a fun 30 minute ride that we would do again.

The next day after church we took David to our standby sandwich shop, Kinders and then Elias and mommy took a little lazy Sunday nap :) Afterwards, we took David to see the Golden Gate Bridge and then it was already time to take him to the airport.

It was a wonderful weekend and Aaron said it was a great first Father's Day. How could it not be though when it is spent with this little man?
