swing SLO

I have not mentioned much about the huge development that has been taking place over the last several weeks...TEETH! Oh boy, he's going to have a full set by his first birthday at this rate. It is amazing how big his teeth are getting...he will be ready for corn on the cob soon :) I hope to get a good toothy grin posted here but in the meantime enjoy some adorably drooly pictures.

Round 2 for Bakersfield came just 5 days later! We wanted to make sure and see our good friend Caleb before he took off for his 3 year stint to New Orleans. We went to a wonderful going away party thrown by his family- good weather, good food, and good company.

The next day after a nice lunch we headed out west on hwy 58. The beautiful drive brought back so many memories going to and from SLO. Aaron said he knows every twist and turn of the windy road.

First stop in SLO...pick up our dear friends the Beardsleys and go to Firestone Grill for some Tri-Tip sandwiches, delicious fries, and awesome ranch beans. I could go for some more right now...

Okay we better move on because now I'm the one drooling! After dinner we headed to Avila Beach for some swing action!

Wind blown chubby cheeks :)

Danny + Tracy...we love these guys :)

We stayed with the Beardsleys and had a great evening of playing cards and eating ice cream.

We enjoyed more of the outdoors with a short hike, some grass play time and High Street Deli sandwiches, yum!

A group shot before leaving and a double short latte accompanied by a pumpkin spice muffin from Black Horse, formally known as Uptown Espresso. And of course we had to swing by Cal Poly on our way out of town...it has changed quite a bit but many of the memories of the olden days are too sweet to forget.
